Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Los Angeles, built in 1952, is one of the most prominent Orthodox churches in the United States. Serving the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, it offers Sunday services in both Greek and English, with occasional Spanish liturgies. Located at 1324 S Normandie Avenue in the Byzantine-Latino Quarter, the cathedral is renowned for its Byzantine Revival architecture and lavish interior designed by Hollywood artisans. Beyond its role as a spiritual centre, Saint Sophia is a hub for cultural heritage and community relief efforts, recently opening its doors for fire victims in Los Angeles.
