St. Mercurius & St. Abraam Coptic Orthodox Church, located in Torrance, California, was established in 1989 to serve the southwestern part of Los Angeles County within the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Southern California & Hawaii. Under the leadership of Hegumen Father Louka Sidarous (since its founding) and joined by Father Kyrillos Wassily in 2001, the church has become known for vibrant worship, rich Coptic liturgical tradition, and strong community engagement. The parish offers child-care services (through St. Abraam Child Care Center), fellowship halls, expanded service spaces, and ministries that support faith, cultural heritage, and the spiritual growth of its congregation.
